My first night back to iRacing was brutal man. I've never driven a car in a sim as loose as that Corvette.
Touch the brake in anything other than a straight line - spin. Touch the brake too much in a straight line - spin. Touch the throttle in anything other than a straight line - spin. Push the throttle just a little bit more in a straight line - spin. Spin spin spin spin.
After an hour or two I was dizzier than a fart in a spacesuit.
So, apologies for leaving abruptly but obviously that was better than losing my shi* completely which I was very close to. I'll give it some some more practice because I refuse to let iRacing beat me into submission this time.
It is frustrating though because I've driven some fast cars around race tracks before and this Corvette (and a lot of cars in iRacing) just feel like I'm driving on ice with slicks. There doesn't seem to be any grip whatsoever!

In a real car I'm pushing way, way harder than that and still have plenty of grip left. It seems if you even think of pushing in iRacing you are off into the wall...
I'll keep at it.
I was impressed with how the sim looks now though, and the sound of the Corvette and other cars around me was great.
