I tried the HDF v3 setup with 4 wing. It felt good at the start but it started to feel very slippery on the rear before half the stint was over. Mostly when I lifted off the throttle, it just wanted to keep turning. In the high speed corners (Blanchimont) on-throttle it was still fine.

The hosted session ended after I had done 14 laps in the stint. The track temperature was at 31 degrees at that point. As expected, my rears were not in great shape (too much sliding around) at 70% tread remaining. The fronts were at 77% at this point.

I'll try to run Deb's setup with 4 wing tomorrow to see if it is any better later in the stint, because it has more understeer at the start of the stint.

---

Also, something to be wary of in Malmedy. This happened to me quite often if I touched the curb a little while lifting to turn in. Even on wing 6.

As Noel said we got a couple of hours practice in yesterday, I took the V3 and made the rear springs even softer.
I have driven this morning and with 6 wing the car can be pushed very hard and doesn't get sideways very easily. I tried the same with 4 wing and it got a couple more Kph on the 2 big straights, I couldn't put the power down with quite so much confidence though , it was a much more exciting drive with not much difference ( I couldn't tell at least) in overall pace.

I am attaching the revised rear suspension changes below (V4)
please note: I am using 1 ABS, 8 Traction control and 49% brake Bias, so make sure you change it to something you enjoy!
This setup is very stable and boring so please try a full stint in whatever weather you like! If you want to change anything then we need to do it before the end of the week so everyone has a chance to practice with any changes.

For anyone using Fanalabs, this PWS file has LEDS only (I can share my FFB settings too but I am not sure how it translates to different bases) I matched the lights to the BMW rev counter and the colours for the pit limiter to make it very obvious if the limiter is engaged or not.
The side lights show up very bright blue if the ABS engages and the rest of the LEDs are default to show yellow, white and green flags as appropriate.
I had to zip it because the file extension isn't allowed, extract it to wherever you like and import it into Fanalabs

oooh, I wonder if the drop in power will still allow us to squeeze 26 laps? We can check this when we practice this evening I guess.

I did an FFS in a series practice session. I didn't get the tire call out until lap 18 and when I finished 24 laps, worse at 34 and 26% and they didn't feel too terrible at the end. After 24 laps I came into the pit with .8L of fuel and just made it to the pit box :)

Is this thing washing out for anyone else? It's controllable but I feel like getting on throttle is quite delayed.

I tried another setup (attached) for comparison and it had a bit more front end bite for me. I was able to shave close to 1 full second off my best laptime 2:19 flat.

Having said that, getting out of the pits I crashed into the wall on my first try so...

I feel like the quicker guys are running 1 or maybe 2 less wing as I'd lose time on the straights (a tenth or two) but would gain it all back in cornering.

...also, for some reason I never updated the specmap on Tradding Pants so it's showing as matte.

It should be fixed now so when you visit TP it will state "update available".

It's maybe a bit understeery in the first few laps, but I don't feel it's washing out, maybe a bit in the slowest corners. For me, more front-end bite might cause me to spin unless I change my driving :|

It's probably a bit late to change setups. A faster setup does sound interesting, though.

Maybe I have to adjust my driving as it's the whole car sliding beneath me. I actually thought to myself, "this is probably what rain is going to feel like" when I drove it.

Again, the other setup was just for comparison sake so you could maybe see what I was comparing against.

I've yet to do FFS' though so I'll tackle that tonight after work at around 11 PM PST.

So I did an FFS in @Kenadian's set up during the day in a series practice session. Ambient 18 Track 33. I thought the car performed well t/o. I think the turn in is better and I could get on the power a little quicker. My times were better and I set my fastest time so far. And had a number of laps in the 2:20s, which is better than I have been doing. Also, I didn't get the low rubber call out until lap 21 and when I came in, my tires were at 48% 36% at the worst. Which is better than it has been. I did have to pit after lap 23 but I did stop on the side during the stint to talk to you guys, so fuel usage is probably about the same. Given I am only doing 2 stints, I don't think my fuel usage matters as much as everyone elses. Anyway, I this point, I would prefer Ken's setup, but can drive the other as well.
