Nice one dude! Does this mean we get to witness the finest own goals in Rocket League once more? ;)

Seriously though leaving those screws loose is very shoddy, have you raised it with them? I know I would. The wires are unlikely to melt to be honest but I would certainly not have them anywhere near the copper, if that's a hyper 212 cooler which I think it is because I have the same, I routed the cables behind the motherboard and tucked them safely away out of harms way.

You were absolutely right to go for the 2070 over the 1080 too.

What monitor are you running? 1080p @ 60Hz?

Run some benchmarks on it and add them to the benchmark thread if you get a chance mate, I would be really interested to see the scores for that rig. It looks like a very sensible build and should give you years of great gaming at the highest graphics settings. You've certainly come a long way since the days of running Rocket League like it was a gameboy title lol

I'll probably send them a mail about those screws. It has 2-year warranty but I still wouldn't mind an explanation from them. 1 loose screw is a mistake but 3 is basically intentional ignorance from whomever secured them (or couldn't be arsed when they lost them in the case).

The cooler is a Hyper TX3. I've moved the wires away from the pipes a bit so they should be safe. I'll run some benchmarks when I get everything up and running. I should probably install an Nvidia driver first :)

Not off to a good start. I'm having the same problem as my old PC -- no screen output. This time, my GPU is not detected, which is weird because the power is connected and it is secured in its PCIe slot. The fans are not running either. I should be able to get screen output from an Nvidia card without having their drivers installed right? The HDMI output on the motherboard is working fine.

I called them up because of the loose screws and GPU not being detected. They said the screws were likely a mistake, that they must have used screws with the wrong thread on them. They're going to send me a set of screws that should fit.

Their suspected cause was that the GPU got loose in transport so they suggested that I refitted it. I couldn't tell any difference before taking it out and after placing it back in the way it was clicked into the PCIe slot. Apparently though, it must have been slightly off because after replacing it the GPU then worked!

Hey man glad you got it sorted! When I took my pc apart for a deep clean I had the same issue so if I'd have seen this I would have definitely said reseat all the components starting with the gpu in your case. Glad you got it working bud :)

So, I have a few bits coming from Sim Labs tomorrow. so first I have to tear down the old stuff to make room. A couple of pics so you can appreciate the total pain in the ass this is gonna be to get it back together after the courier has been!

it probably looks worse than it is ;) all that stuff was either attached to my simetik rig or on the desk where my PC is at the moment , just needed everything apart so i could bolt up and go tomorrow, with everything detached some cable management should be pretty easy too as I go along.
Hopefully done tomorrow afternoon and shall pop some " completed " pics up ;)

I have had a million ( maybe more ) pc issues so this is still a bit of a WIP !
But here we go for now!
rig1.jpg

my stuff in the corner of the room, main PC on the left , other pc doing other stuff on the right.
rig 2.jpg

Closer view of the Simlabs GT1 EVO chassis, got pretty much every thing stuffed onto it so I don't have to reattach anything or take anything off , the monitor swings out of the way when i do stuff in VR.

Other PC for OBS and anything else I have to sit down like a normal person for.

Quality setup mate! That's a proper man cave right there  That's a beast of a CPU too, more suited to a Terminator than a gaming PC

SO , I have been messing about (as usual) trying to get everything within reach, which was harder than I first thought!!

I couldn't get enough light for my iPhone to pick things up so I recorded it on my tablet rather than taking a billion shots from different angles.

The pics above already show my VR space so no need to show that again (that, and where I have been moving all this shit around, I have made a mess a burglar would be proud to leave behind!)

I am tired now so this is the last time I shift things around!

Probably :p
