What a grueling 24H, thanks again for all the hardwork put in by everyone. We were in a really good position at the start and then I got in. Felt pretty bad that @Sam Roselaar didn't have the chance to drive a fresh car, I know how frustrating that can be. We made the most out of it and scraped up a podium finish in 2nd split with a 3 man team, that I'm proud of. By far the most driving I have done in an endurance race, and the most in VR for me as-well. Lots of fun, near misses, laughs and AFTRACKS. Thanks again everyone, this wouldn't be possible without this great team. Big shoutout to @Skid_Marc_ @Duke and @Noodleguitar For the organization, skins and hours invested into each and every event. I don't have the free time that I used to, putting in my dues with work and my side business to make it all pay off down the road (hopefully).

Next one I'll try to get some more practice and one more thing...

setup felt great
Sounds like you guys had a fun race. Congrats on the podium finish!

Also congrats to Team Mercedes on their overall win! Pretty awesome and very happy for you guys. 2nd endurance win this year for @Bedo I remember how happy you were after Sebring, I can only imagine how this one felt.

A lot of shitty luck was passed around with the other teams and that's part of the game. Not every event has gone to plan.

I do want to say that I completely admire @dub_713s effort after this last race, with all of the obstacles you never once threw in the towel. If something like that happened to most of us I'd hate to say it but we would most likely call it a wash. Great job keeping it going through all of the issues.

This race also brought up some good ideas for the future, including a B20 Driver Development Program which is something that should be round tabled and discuss some fundamentals for driver training.

Looking back, there are two things that stand out to me in the past two events where we raced together.

It seems that being 100% consistent at 80% pace wins over 80% consistency at 100% pace. Watching @SavreticD do an 8:30 lap at the ring is an experience that can only be fully appreciated on the last stint of a perfect 24 hour run on the most difficult track in the sim.

The second thing is having the will power to resist driving over 80% even though you fully acknowledge it.

@Skid_Marc_ even though those screenshots suggest different Davey was driving great. There were some connection issues so that's why his first stint looked like an average GT3 race on my screen.

I have no pent-up angst (what does that even mean?? :D) against @Fromthenavy at all

It was great fun in TS, yes even with @Duke there :p
Although there is 1 comment i made i will forever regret...

I second that! I know when I first joined last year, I would have loved to have some specific training. Not only on driving but on different racing strategies, passing/being passed, setups, iRacing functionality, technical stuff, etc. So personally, I could be on both sides of that training, student and teacher. We definitely should discuss, perhaps we can have a Practice Pals night for training. Maybe we could have it Tuesday or Thursday and divide the teaching function up between the veterans so no one has to take on the entire burden. Each person who wanted to could take a topic or track they like and lead a session.

Still wondering a bit if the last weekend really happened. It went by so fast :). There was a bit of disappointment after we have found out that we dropped a split lower then intended. Still, there were a couple of other fast drivers in the race. Even with other cars slowly getting behind due to taking up damage and repair time, it was a pretty close run for P1 for about the first three quarters of the race.
Thanks to @Deb, @SavreticD, @Bedo and Volker for letting me be a part of the team, @Duke, @Noodleguitar and @Skid_Marc_ for the organization and to everyone else for a fun practice environment :).

Well done everyone for getting through this very tough event :) was nice to watch all the streams and join in the fun on TS ( quite nerve wracking at times even as a spectator!) I hope to be able to join in at Spa, lets wait and see, fingers crossed!
Special Grats to the Mercedes team for having a pretty much flawless drive start to finish, well played folks :)

Tnx Nejt!!!

Lol Hans I wanted to say to Najt like yeah,we didn't had single spin, nothing...and then I see your picture hahaha

Ok,I know its connection issue :)
Ya, if it wasn't that rear end on me 1st corner we wouldn't have any contact,we didn't had spin, problems, anything(at least I didn't hear we did).In 24h race on this track that is pretty awesome if you ask me :)
Man this track can bite you if you are alone on the track 24h, let alone with others

Did Marc race at all?

Haha, that's a funny difference between the last stints of our teams.
Mercedes team:
- Running 8:30 lap times to make absolutely sure they make it across the line in one piece.

Porsche team:
- "Hey Noël, you should get 100x for the team, we're only at 82 now."
- "Um... ok!"

@Skid_Marc_ Somebody in the iRacing Special Events forum was asking for fuel strategies, do you think we should include a link to our Nürburgring schedule? Could perhaps generate some interest in B2O. I didn't want to do this during or before the race because it's a public link and people can mess with it.

How was your inagural Official Unofficial Private Private Lounge Lake House Racing in Collaboration With Band Of Others race?
It was awesome, I learned so much.... like to how not blow an engine :(
Very pleased as well that I was able to contribute so much to the need of a beginners team :)

I will most def have some notes and general experiences to share, and would really recommend the driving you and Deb did with me (one in front and one behind) just talking through the track.. you guys in basic slow fuel saving and me trying my hardest to stay on the track.
Or how you really can’t take a 1 hour power nap without at least three alarm clocks :)
But all in all, I was able to complete all my stints, albeit with approximately 1.5 hours of wasted time.
When I finished my last stint and it only showed 3.4 seconds of optional repairs though, that was an awesome feeling, especially on an 8 lapper with no inc’s.

Great group of guys and gals here, and looking forward to more.

Personally I think it's a good idea in helping get our name out there more but it's completely up to you guys given it's your work, time and effort put into it.

You could always make a copy of that file and share the copy. Or create a share link that doesn't allow editing. I think the latter would be the better approach, to avoid the situation that some people will view the doc after others have messed it, altering the original information. I know of a couple of google doc spreadsheets within different WoW communities which are usually shared as a read only link and the instruction "If you want to use and edit this, create a copy and save it in your personal google doc storage".

Yes, we definitely should lock it before sharing, good idea. It's not too useful to do when we're all working on it because requesting access and being on the right account when editing is always a hassle.
