I heard something about Porsche being broken that way, can someone shed some light?
There was talk that it rolls on two wheels like an Arabian style drift SUV. I don't have any experience with this car, but I tried setting it up in a "normal" way and even though it was more compliant and predictable in corners and had higher top speed (wing 4), it understeered pretty badly in the Porsche curves and the lap difference wasn't that much better, so I stuck with the original max downforce setup.

Nope, avoid v5 because it's f00ties setup and it's shit. It's so shitty it actually drops shit on the track while racing which is why it's so unstable.

f00ty is a great guy, love him dearly, but fuck is he ever bad at setups.
Camber is set to -4 on that set! I think it might be a good qualifying setup. I did do a 10 lap stint with it and other than the snap lift oversteer, I didn't have issues and was consistent around 52's. You just need to drive it like you're driving a high downforce car. You can't let it run on its own.

I've made schedule for the LMP1 team, could you guys give it a look? Denis can't do the start of the race and Christian can't do past ~02:00 so we had to work around that.

Triple stinting is off the table, because not only will the next guy get old tires, we lose 6 seconds during driving swaps if we do it without taking tires.
Works for me. So much for Denis complaining about driving too much lol. I could probably do one or two 4-stint runs if someone is tired or something. Le Mans is pretty tame track.

IIRC, this should activate the spotter as soon as the green flag comes out, rather than waiting until after you reach the start finish line. May make the Porsche curves and Ford Chicanes a bit less scary?

..or more scary because now you're spotter will be telling you EXACTLY how crazy the people around you are... "Yes, you DO have a car on your right side... I know that there is only grass and a wall to your right, but he IS there...."

@Jes_971, I think everyone is using V4 but with the Rear HS Compression set to 2 instead of 9.
I can work with that and I'm only driving the last 2.5 stints so whatever you guys decide. I'm gona be around tonight if you want to try some setup changes.

However now that you've added the remainder of your thoughts I'm with you, do I really want to know lol?

What was difficult at Spa was that @Hydromani was in as either Crew Chief or Spotter which is why he never said anything until 40 minutes in.

A lesson to you all, don't do that for race start, allow the spotter to spot, any other way is simply terrifying. :eek:
 
Even before that. I can't practice in afternoon, as I said, so unless you post it in next 8 hours (it's midnight EST, 6am your time), I will be practicing with the last posted setup.
Cant before, working now on it so when I finish. You can do 2 laps tomorrow just to get use to it because it will not be too much different as I said before

I will just do one more qualy session, not it will matter anyway because of my irating but I say if Noel can't get into 1 second of my qualy time we should both sign up.Will see what he can do and then we will decide
 
My stints are pretty late, so I'll practice beforehand.

Just change cambers from -2.8 to -3.6,put back ride hides and you lost 8kmh, just insane.So what ever I change I must check data in Motec to see what rake is and other things,time consuming :(

@Noodleguitar Did you schedule it that way because I said I could only do 2-3 stints? When I wrote that I was thinking an RSR triple stint, not an LMP1 triple. If me being able to do a quad makes your scheduling easier I can definitely do a quad in this car. It's about the same time as a GTE triple.

It's fine, I understand, I just wanted to be fully ready as I didn't know when my stints were. They're pretty late, so it's fine. As Matt, I can quad stint too, it's not that bad as stints are much shorter than GTE. If needed.

I'll do my best to be there for the start of the race, but might sleep in. It was a long, hot, humid, sweaty day.
