I did an FFS on the 919 setup that Slider posted (that he got from Denis?) and I didn't like it at all. The gearing was terrible, pegging out in second gear the second you come off a corner. It didn't feel nearly as planted as the VRS set I had been practicing. I was able to get somewhat similar times but it didn't feel good. Felt like I was constantly fighting the car.

I'm willing to keep practicing it, but I hope next week can make some changes as a team. For my driving style it just feels very twitchy and is always wanting to come out from under me. Not in the "oh nice rotation" kind of way but in the "oh god I'm going to die" kind of way.

Is VRS using the high downforce? Low DF sucks in 919 because it's heavier than HPD and harder to go through slow corners. Which corners are you revving out 2nd gear on exit? It's not Denis' setup because he doesn't have one yet, we had another league race on Monday. We'll probably have something good next Monday. I could post a replay of my laps. Was the weather different? Apparently this car is affected by weather much more than others, but I wouldn't know that yet, don't have much time in it. I might be able to come along tonight. Can you post the VRS setup here so I can compare?

The top speeds didn't have any difference so I'm not sure it's using the high DF package. I'll post it when I get home.

I changed the Wing gurney flap from 20mm to 10mm.... and i got a 3:50.190....... might want to investigate this....

Is there any reason you can't use 3rd gear for this corner, than? Gearing out on a high gear at the end of the straight is a problem, but if a low gear is too short, why not use a different one?

If the cars stable and remains as controllable as it is currently on low fuel then it certainly can't hurt. We tried messing with it a bit but I believe we went back to 20 because the car was a bit unstable.

Having said that my setup was shit compared to you so it may have only exacerbated likely multiple pre-existing issues.

Thankfully, Ryan and I are currently discussing the HPD right now. Seems that the forum set is solid so I will need to give that a go. However, we will still need 1-2 drivers for the HPD to fill out our roster for the event.

Did you try setting the BrakeSys (if I remember the name correctly) to around 10? The baseline has it near minimum and it caused me to spin out many times when braking during corner entry.

Denis made a starting setup which feels more stable to me than baseline (and faster). We're not sure about the gearing yet. To me it feels like the slower corners are in-between first and second gear.

@Tony this is what I was talking to you on Twitter yesterday and you said to stay with the RSR.

You completely missed the point because we don't have 2 Drivers for you unless I switch to the HPD and bring a Driver with me.

It's just until Pure releases their set, nothing special but Pure I believe will feel similar. This is their moded Monza set so I think it will fell similar

@Skid_Marc_ i'll do some laps with you guys to see how those cars feel. i don't know if i'll race them though. commiting to the race would result in weeks of knee problems so idk if it is worth it to drive a car i have 0 experience in.

i'll definitely be around for practice and hopefully during the race just for fun.
