Hi guys,

I received some family news evening and unfortunately my granddad passed away this evening. As you can imagine I'm pretty cut up at the moment and have made the decision to pull out of the race and look after the rest of my family and make sure they are ok and don't want to race not being in the right frame of mind and possibly ruining the race for the rest of team.

Sorry it appears I've wasted your time and will completely understand if your angry and I will keep a look out when I can to see how you guys are doing during the race.
@Ryan Walker, we appreciate the transparency but don't worry about us being mad, it won't happen. Real life takes precedence which we all know and accept.

This is very important so the last thing you need to do is harbor any guilt for having to bow out.

You're more than welcome to drive with us down the road.

@Ryan Walker, I am sorry to hear about your grandfather :(

So assuming the OP is actually correct it appears as if we have the following:

LMP 1 Porsche 919: 1 Team consisting of 5 Drivers

LMP 2 Huh Puh DUHHHH: 1 Team consisting of 3 Drivers

GTE Porsche 911 RSR: 2 Teams Total. 1 Team x 4 Drivers and 1 Team x 3 Drivers.

Is this accurate?

I remain uncertain as to what @Sam Roselaar is Driving? Also, assuming the LMP 1 Porsche 919 Team has 5 Drivers is there any chance 1 can help fill out either the HPD LMP2 Team or the 911 RSR GTE Team?

Team Leaders @Noodleguitar, @Deb, @Nejtun can you help me sort this out?

Thanks.

Sure, did you need me to look at the schedules and try to figure out the teams for the RSR based on availability?

I am not sure about @Sam Roselaar either, not sure if he is okay with driving the RSR since no one else is in the 488.

not sure about grabbing another HPD driver this late in the day , I will speak to Hans and Kelley first so we can decide between us what /if we need :)

Ya it would be great to get this sorted out sooner than later. If possible I'd like to name the liveries Tuesday night because last minute really sux.

Me either but it never hurts to ask.

Yeah, it's probably a little late to jump cars at this point, and I've promised Denis a while ago to run this road-sucking crazy car with him. By the sounds of it the HPD team is not in a dire need though :)

Didn't Sam say early on he couldn't make this race because of his knee? I may have confused this with Spa.

Yeah, I looked back through the posts and I think he said he probably couldn't do it in a new car because the time he would need to practice would be hard on his knee. :(

I filled out the names based on driving times on the availability schedule, but need to add the quantitative info. Could all the RSR drivers @afroducks, @Jes_971, @Kenadian, @Bedo, @Hydromani, @incndry check the schedule and see if it works for you?

From a stability and comfort point of view the one we have now is pretty good. I can't comment on the pure speed, I'll leave that to Denis and Noel.
PRS' set is slower in straight line, according to Denis. As it seems, we're all pretty satisfied by what we practiced the other day, so I doubt much will change.

@Kenadian I've mentioned that to Denis few daya ago when I learned about the 5th driver and he said it's better this way. 919 is very hard to drive at any decent pace specially in traffic, so I think we can agree 5 is good, but 3 in HPD isn't ideal, so let's see what they say.

I know some guys that don't have communities like this to drive in, so if it's ok, I'll pass them the info after Le Mans.

For the RSR Teams, if we want to get in the same split, here are the options:

Alternative 1 Registering Drivers

@Kenadian 2709
@afroducks, @Bedo, @Hydromani 2748

Alternative 2 Registering Drivers

@Jes_971, @incndry 3087
@afroducks 3175

Alternative 3 Registering Drivers

@Kenadian, @Jes_971 2366
@afroducks, @Hydromani 2480

I think Alternative 1 gives us the best chance since the two are so close, but not sure if all 3 on Lakehouse team can register.

@afroducks, probably makes sense for you to qualify since you are the common denominator on Lakehouse team.

I'm not particularly enamored with my schedule, it's way too much to expect from me.

If need be I can do 8 hours of Driving but not 10. Add in spotting time on either side of my stints and it translates to me being awake, lucid and present for 18 of 24 hours. This may have been possible when I was a 20 something little rubber person but not so much on the other side of 50.

I need @Jes_971 and @incndry to absorb 2 of my stints. I've marked 4 potential areas for these stints to be taken over with Alt -> to the left of the scheduled cells.

I can do that for sure. We can discuss in further detail tonight if your going to be on?
Ya I can be on.

It's looking like I'll be the one starting the Race so I need to do an ffs and perhaps a Qualify Run tonight. Also gotta start putting the names on all liveries.

i'll be there for moral support and to annoy people :p

But unfortunately i can't drive. I have quite some experience in the ferrari so that's what i signed up for. Just because i would need less practice and that would mean less knee problems. I would have loved to drive le mans 24 (my favourite endurance) with you guys. But unfortunately it didn't seem as if there was going to be a ferrari team. Switching cars would've meant that i had to put in a lot of practice hours and that didn't work well for me at the Nurburgring 24 at all.

i decided it would be better for me and the team to sit this one out.
hopefully one day i can fully enjoy iRacing again and join you guys in some endurance adventures.

Good luck to all drivers! :)

LMP guys,here is setup,expect few more tweaks but nothing to much
@Noodleguitar here is laps and fuel buddy. My consistency is crap I know,in this laps are slow down,saving fuel lap,mistake lap omg,only 11 laps and but laptimes are all over the place.

Few tips:
Im using Mode 7,boosting by watching deploy per lap.So manual boost 1st straight 20-22%,next 40-42% then next straight I don't boost and after chicane 70 72%,next 90_92% and start-finish line 100%

Brake sys use what ever you like,same as brake bias and slip angles

DO NOT DRIVE AT THE MIDDLE OF THE TRACK WITH LMP,drive on sides, close to side wight line.Its not working same as in GT3

Practice traffic, more than hot lap,we will not have 1 clean lap so please, practice that, practice off the racing line every corner,tnx
