LOL i knew right away but the ground sloped away and I could not tell that they were landing that far down the slope. It did clearly take a while for me to realize I was completely whiffing.

And yeah I'm still working on getting volume balance just right, including my own. Still tweaking... audio is such a pain. May end up recording my own voice separate so it's not so loud... and overall bumping TS volume up a lot. If I'm flying I can barely hear a damn thing.

Remember that you can lower the vehicle volume under the extended options in the mouswheel menu. I set mine on 20%. That is much nicer. No short range inside vehicles needed.

Really? I think I missed that setting! That would be amazing... i'll mess with it tonight. Even though I love the realistic approach to sounds (you can't hear shit standing next to the turbine of a heli) it makes things difficult.

It is entirely possible that a typhoon came through and knocked down a bunch of trees and even an airport light on the east edge of FOB Charlie.... or it's possible it was done by an overly-tired yet enthusiastic idiot in a Bobcat... either way, it doesn't matter!

My question is, can it be cleaned up? I've spent most of my day (when not sleeping) trying to figure this out, but all I can find points me towards the Eden Editor.. Is there really no way, in-game, to remove these trees?

Nope, it gets reset on restarts only, just like the destroyed buildings.

Never really looked beyond draw distance settings in extended options. This changes everything!

Always wondered how you guys could understand each other while my ears were bleeding in the heli.

So I can't connect to the server, but @Coro_yy has no issues. I keep getting stuck on the "Retrieving Data..." screen, with music playing, but the bar never fills up.

I've tried unloading all but the necessary mods (even though I've been using these mods without issue up to this point) but no luck, so it's not like the mods are the issue... :/
