B2O iRacing 24H of Nürburgring Team Discussion

don't forget that a lot of top split setups (VRS) are built around trail braking which is so much more difficult with higher brake bias. learning how to trail brake with low BB can gain you so much time in the porsche.

but then again in the end it's still driver preference, whatever you can be the fastest with :)

i won't be running tonight since i have a ridiculously busy day tomorrow. hopefully i'll be there tommorow night :)

also to our top team: do you guys drive VRS setups? i need to get used to normal setups and not my 101% understeer VLN setup.

I won't be able to make it on tonight folks. I'm feeling under the weather and suffering from Vertigo and severe headaches as well, bizarre.

I got to work late and will probably leave early to see if I can sleep whatever this is off tonight.

Hey guys, I am going to put up a hosted with morning weather for Nurburgring at Midnight GMT so we can all get some more practice in, with all the cars rather than just the Porsche :) feel free to join for Practice Pals.

I didn't get to put in any practice last night because I had a date...so I'm going to be practicing tonight. If people want to practice cars other than the Porsche I can put up a hosted session.

I'm out tonight, have a lesson, should e on tomorrow night. Wonder if Duke is any better.

i'll practice tonight. do we have a session up?
i'm planning on joining next race. which will be at 1:45 GMT. anyone joining me? :)

i tried racing last race but i got wrecked by a fucking retard who decided 4 wide into turn 1 was a great idea :D (yes this actually happened)
natural selection clearly not doing it's job.

yes i'm pissed.....

I've attached the set I'm currently running. It has 4 wing and seems to be set up a bit more aggressively than the VRS setup (which I haven't tried yet). Feel free to try to it out if you have time. So far I've gotten a 8:29.0 with it on full fuel, which felt like a pretty good lap.

I was surprised that the weather in the Porsche cup was afternoon, I thought it was going to be morning. I'm still planning to do some practice and qualifying in that weather and hopefully get a few races in this weekend.

Edit: added the set.

Don't forget, the week before the 12 Hours of Sebring, IMSA was at Sebring.... night... :D:rolleyes:

I ran both of my Porsche cup races on the raw VRS setup (it's setup for that race, with the right amount of fuel), and it was fine. It's wing 5, which I know Noel prefers 4, but for me it's been stable and quick.
