Just thought I would share here the results of a "nuke" in DCS.
Only the MiG 21Bis can carry these and has a pretty simple control panel to drop this menace!

So I found a suitable pilot to get this going.

Previous tests were done with pretty good results with the RN-28 1 kiloton bomb which had to be launched "over the shoulder" (upside down basically) after a 5g climb to from 1000kph to give the pilot a chance to get clear of the blast, only needed to start from 1500 or so feet from the floor so easy peasy.

Moving on to the 10 Kiloton RN-24 a bit more height was needed but not too much as a lot of speed was lost trying to climb straight up from 20k Feet!
The results from the drop.

The pilot was nowhere to be seen.....

We now, internally, have a new TDC slew option for the Maverick that does not require the TDC to be depressed while slewing. Once you cease slewing the seeker, the seeker will attempt to lock whatever is the center of the crosshairs. If it can nothing to lock, it will go into break lock mode. In other words, pretty much how it works with the Maverck in the A-10C. It should be available in the next Open Beta. Wags

Hooray for easier Mav's in the Hornet!

The real Quick Silver, Scooter teaching us how to fly passive fighter formation. Finger Four Strong Right, Diamond and Echelon. Break off 5 second interval and rejoin. It includes startup, taxi, take off, the go around on final and landing.

i did a few on the highway in town centre, while strafing third reich vehicles, but not inverted sadly. Dont have the roll rate for doing that. :)

From Cobra over on the ED forums.
Hi Everyone,
End of winter is rapidly approaching - and we’re proud to say that we’re now feature complete and in RC-type build status. What that means is that we’ve completed implementation of everything that we consider necessary for early access release, and are now focused on ironing out any remaining major or game breaking issues. We’ve launched the manual to great feedback (thanks to everyone who helped out and who has reported issues since!) and the only remaining step for us now is to get the aircraft in your hands.
Over the past two weekends, we’ve ran two large stress tests with 30+ Tomcats on a single server. These have allowed us to debug various issues across a more dense multiplayer environment. The expansion of the testing team to include many more people has also been very helpful in establishing what needs revision and work.
We’re eager to share with you the launch day of the F-14, pending ED’s final approval. We hope this will happen within the next few days.
Also in the coming days, we’ll be going through what to expect from the F-14 Early Access, what our roadmap is for it’s final release (-A, Campaigns, other missing features, etc.) and projected timescales. Hopefully these will give you a good idea of what you’ll be flying on day one, as well as what the future holds for our F-14 project. The F-14 won’t be perfect when we launch, but we intend to show you just how committed we are to quality and our product in the days following release. Expect to be impressed.
More than anything, thank you for your support. It’s what keeps us going on long, dark, coffee-fueled nights. We’re looking forward to breathing a little post launch and as we settle into our Tomcat journey together.
Sincerely,

Cool, I am still waiting on the MiG 19 which is still to be announced, I like the way this is pressing forwards though and pretty tempted to get it now if for no other reason than to have a complete collection!
Now if valve could just release their stupid HMD I will be fixed!
