Blanchimont you can take full or with the slight lift to keep tires in good condition, same as Eau Rouge, with that set,it is build for that,Puhon and that corner leading to long straight but we can talk in practice, nothing is written in stone regarding setup because if we will not double stint tires we can go higher with cambers
Anyway, will @Noodleguitar you be on TS today maybe? Is it practice today?
I don't know what the 'Muricans / Canadians (including the French, I guess) were planning, but I can be around during Practice Pals time.

So, including @Tony, we have 7 drivers for the Mercedes. The most rational choice then is to split into teams of 4 and 3. I don't know if there's been ideas about grouping splits yet but for us we could choose to try to get both Mercedes teams into 2nd split, since the iRating difference between Denis and me is about 400. Of course, there is still chance that we end up in both the 2nd and 3rd split.

Lost 80 yesterday :D
Don't join iLMS if race doesn't split,it is pure chaos :D

I wish iRacing had a mandatory tutorial in which things like blocking and multi-class racing are explained. You see it very often, slower classes change their line to "get out of the way" of the faster class but in doing that they make the pass very unpredictable and dangerous. With such speed differences you have to assume approximately which line and at what speed the car ahead of you is going to take the next corner as there is not always time to react if they do something unexpectedly.

On the other side, when the people of the same mentality step into the faster class, they try to yell slower classes out of the way, which doesn't help.

The second clip in the video I'm not sure about, it looked like the Porsche was gonna go on the inside of the Ferrari that ran wide.

Yeah, and I even don't take their draft,I even pull one one side, side I will pass like 200 meters before pass just so they know in advance and still problems even like that.
I mean GTE really doesn't need to "help", they slow down for LMP,omg
If I cant pass you in LMP then I dont know....All this is understandable because the race didn't split and problems were with few cars only but those few cars can cause big chaos on the track
Anyway, this is Spa thread so sry for off topic but maybe some guys from here can learn from this if somebody race multiclass here :D

In the file browser of the iRacing channel in TeamSpeak I posted a few setups:
  • My setup, adjusted from last year. Uses the spring set with medium rear stiffness. Understeers and is not very fast but very stable I think.
  • Denis's setup, which uses the soft rear spring set. I drove it yesterday and I think I'm a decent amount faster with it. The first time I went through Blanchimont I rolled the car though :p.
  • Ken's setup (adjusted from baseline). Pretty similar to Denis's setup, but it has more ARB and more diff preload. I haven't driven this one yet.
Mind that some of the setups come with high friction brake pads (my preference). For the race we'll likely run medium as a middle ground, unless one of the teams all likes either high or low. I think the brake bias Denis and Ken use is around 51-52%.
Thanks I will try them out tomorrow morning after work @ 6am and will try to get some practice before work as well.

Someone on the team has to make one. General availability (where you'd make an entry) is there. That's used to make stints.

I saw that already but it only has the BMW and the Ferrari specific tabs, no Merc. That's why I asked.
Awesome job, whoever put together the two schedules so far! @Tony that probably means that either @Noodleguitar hasn't gotten fuel data from the Mercedes yet, or he just hasn't made the template yet. In the mean time, I added your name to the "Availability" tab, just put X's in the times that you're available (I think you said you'd be up for mostly night stints?) Anyways, fill in that, and as soon as there is a fuel schedule, we'll start putting names to stints.

@Noodleguitar, I tried all three setups. I like Ken's the most (though a bit of understeer, but it could be just me), but i was able to get 20.1 with it. Kapps was showing a 1.14 gal average.
