Nah that was after an adder found it's way in through the back door.

You're talking about this:

Thats what u get playing "shoot yer foxes" beyond visual range. Next time, use harsh language.
Or get in a prop plane, at least u will see who u are shooting at. Mano a mano, the only way to have a proper f(l)ight.
Jetz are for plebz. o_O

@Jeeve79 There's no reason not to enjoy both man, we will be doing evenings where it's WW2 themed so props on Normandy with WW2 assets only and there will be evenings when we run everything so there will be prop friendly targets with no risk of being hit by a SAM or an enemy jet etc., and engagements far away suitable for jets, there's always something for everyone! As long as we are flying together and having a great time in teamspeak that's all I care about.

Neither can i lol, apparently i got lucky :)
All i knew what to do was to go full afterburner as soon as you hit the deck in case you miss the wires.
Other than that it was all dumb guestimating, even ignoring advice.

Since i have a callsign i might as well get me a skin.

We should make a B2O skin database for all of us, like we have for the P and TF51

I am going to start building a Normandy mission. It seems trains are very buggy on Normandy but i will try anyway.
btw, i dont hate jets, its just that they dont work with prop plane missions, makes me feel useless in my Mustang. :)

The trains almost never work on Normandy. Had to put them in as static objects and put them on the rails manually piece by piece. Also lost my p-51 controls somehow and had to put them in again. :(
Mission is built, i hope i put enough targets in this time for u Nejtun. Minimum flak, maximum trains, trucks, fuel and ammo crates.

nice one Jef! on the the controls thing , you can save each controller device separately for each plane ( which I should really do myself ) so if there is an emergency , you have a config ready to load even it is only one device that is wrong

I made an easy mode version of that Normandy mission and uploaded to TS file browser.
Just target practise actually and less flight time to the target area. Also added some extra stuff here and there in case we dont run out of ammo on the main target.

Burning fuel, waiting on Spitfires on how to not take fuel for a one way trip to almost the other side of the channel. :) We did not do much but it was so much fun anyway. That is why DCS is so good imo.

Then lining up on a runway in France in easy mode, no need to calculate fuel any more boyz. :)

Yeah man I completely agree, just flying over the channel trying to find each other and formation up was a challenge in itself, and a lot of fun. The fact that Wappy and I dropped out the sky like stones once we got to France is one we can gloss over lol

Great shots Jeeve, love 'em

I need to do another test flight over the channel to see if I can figure out the fuel management for the Spitfires, did you upload that mission to teamspeak?

Can’t believe you guys were running out of fuel. Just hook up to the air to air refueling tanker :)
lol if only :p

I just had an absolute blast flying in VR for the first time with @Nejtun , I've always been hesitant to try it thinking I might not be able to handle it but after some more configurations of controls so I don't have to use the keyboard at all we flew off on a ground attack mission in the Hueys and oh my days it was sooooooo good. I love trackIR and have it set just right but there is no comparison to VR, it was so immersive and ran surprisingly well once I tweaked the gfx settings. The ability to just look at what you want and then use the preassigned buttons on the HOTAS to left or right click is very immersive. Absolutely bloody loved it!

What a fantastic experience, can't wait to try the Spitfire. When the Tomcat releases I may never leave VR...

"Just hook me up to a drip and a catheter and leave me be nurse!"

It was that immersive I lost all track of time and before I knew it hours had passed... VR DCS is breathtaking.

Does anyone here not own Persian Gulf? A friend of mine made a pretty awesome mission where you can activate different challenges to go fly, mostly in modern jets, on Persian Gulf. Was thinking of running a server with it this weekend.
