I've been practicing with this set. Only real issue I have is the brake bias being biased more toward the rear. I can get a way with a healthy margin using my pedals even if I push it forward. Not sure what you guys are running but I can adjust it to my liking on the fly.I think we could always use more than 3 drivers over 24 hours haha. I'm okay with it if the other two are.
Also another update on the Porsche. Was seeing that on-exit oversteer become an issue so I tried Noel's suggestion he made to me awhile ago of also lowering the front toe by 1 click to -2.0, on top of the 4 (down from 5) rear ARB I've been using on his suggestion. Thought it made the car understeer too much before but I think I was testing on too low of track usage. Now the car feels like it turns in better, is more planted on corner exit, the tire wear/pressures were much closer between the front and rear, and I even gained about a second of pace over the previous stint before the change. Overall a really good effect on the car.
I will create a team this week and invite you guys. I will also be doing most of my practice this week since I have been busy.I've been practicing with this set. Is there a team I need to join?
Is there anything that prevents us from having one set of pressures for day and one set for night since we can adjust pressures during a pit stop?I think I figured out why the Porsche setup felt so much better at night and terrible in the day. The old setup's tire pressures were still too low, but pretty close to being optimal for night conditions. Just need to crank up the pressures for day time it seems like?
Noel's 1:29 on the old setup from one of Marc's sessions ran around 10pm in game was on the old setup, but still managed to achieve a hot rear pressure of about 180 kpa. That's with a starting pressure of 141 front and 138 rear. To get up around 187 I had to run 144 front 141 rear (1 click up on both) to get 188 kpa in the rear in identical conditions.
Day time seems to require much higher cold pressure to reach an optimal hot pressure, I guess because there's less grip to push the tires. So it seems like changing the pressure of the new tires we put on will be critical to keeping good pace and grip throughout all 24 hours.
